Spending hours outside with the horses, I needed something that could shield my skin from wind and dirt without becoming a magnet for grime. I wanted a formula that truly adhered to the skin, offering lasting protection without feeling heavy or suffocating.
As part of my annual holiday tradition, I test products for friends and family. My brother—legendary in his own right—was visiting before heading to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Knowing the harsh mountain conditions he'd face, I handed him a travel-friendly tin of a hard cream packed with beeswax, beef tallow, castor oil, and safflower oil. He took it to the slopes, and the response was clear: people wanted a natural, effective sunscreen.
That moment set everything in motion. After months of refining formulas and diving deep into the science of waxes, butters and oils, we developed the originally envisioned barrier cream sunscreen—now available in multiple variations to match any experience.
